Having someone to share your worries with, to vent to, get advice from, who helps you build your self esteem is an important part to being happy in life. Not everyone would agree with me that being happy is important, but here I’ll concentrate on the audience who would prefer to be happy.
I provide special self esteem building exercises, following a step by step plan for you to learn to respect and love yourself. We all struggle with self doubts and have low points in life, it can be beneficial to have someone completely non judgemental to speak to about those low times, and get a salvation rope so to speak to climb up on from the darker times.
Self love has to be built slowly on a solid foundation. In an ideal world parents will build it as the child is growing up, however unfortunately in most cases it’s just not happening. Parents instil their own insecurities and their own baggage, some intentionally try to break their kid’s spirit, while others honestly believe that making a child’s life hard now will make them stronger in the future, while another group goes with the idea of modesty, having a child so ashamed to make sure they never grow up arrogant.
Medications for anxiety and depression can be life saving, but we need to realise they do affect the psyche, and all have side effects and consequences. Having very supportive and knowledgable doctors is very important to keep track of the effects one might face, unfortunately many only prescribe them without providing the needed support and follow up afterwards.
Various outlets, non related to the mind directly can be very affective, like diet and exercise, support groups, sunshine, sufficient sleep, or a total change of mindset, decluttering your life, Feng shui, hope.
Sometimes people who suffer the most, are the ones with ideal lives (on paper), and they feel guilty for having such low moods, and appearing to be unappreciative of how blessed they are in what they have.
To be understood and supported is important. I have gone through a lot in my life, and can relate to many situations, and mental health struggles.
I currently offer online sessions, speaking or writing if it’s easier for you. Contact me to discuss.
